I’m a teenager with bad skin. So, I’m a normal teen in that sense. But, spots suck, oily skin makes me outraged and dry skin feels like the human embodiment of death. Don’t even get me started on that chapped lip crap! But fear not! For I have some products which I adore that hopefully you’ll adore to! I’m going to walk you through my day to day routine and what makeup I use – if any. This is all Tati Tested so you know you’re in good hands.
In the morning, I use a blemish stick which is good if your skin is oily or if you’re prone to suffer with spots. I used to use the Witch Blemish Stick that you can buy from almost any superstore. However, I found that too strong and it hurt slightly so I now use Boots’ own brand Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Blemish Stick and I found the results were better. Feel free to try them both and see whatever works best for you – everyone’s different after all! I normally use the stick in the morning and evening – sometimes more if needed – and it does typically work!
After that, I use The Body Shop’s Seaweed Oil-Control Gel Cream. Believe me when I say I’ve tried loads of brands and this is the best. Not only does a 50ml pot go a long way (so use sparingly!) but it also makes my skin super smooth and it stops the dryness I sometimes get after using the blemish stick. Just remember, the Blemish Stick takes away oils, but the Seaweed rejuvenates and hydrates the skin.
If I’m in the mood to wear makeup, I’ll go for quite a natural look which consists of:
Fresh Nude Foundation from The Body Shop which is good for those with sensitive skin and it has SPF 15
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer from Boots – for a concealer that works a treat!
Mega Nudes Eye Shadow from Technic Cosmetics – the pigment is to die for
Maybelline Great Lash Mascara as a basecoat for my eyelashes and Clarins Mascara Supra Volume
For my lips I’ll normally put on some clear lip gloss – it enlarges my lips and I don’t need to worry about it getting everywhere.
At the end of the day, I’ll use The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Night Cream, so my skin doesn’t get as irritated and I’ll use an EOS to keep my lips hydrated and prevent them from being chapped the following morning.
Finally, I drink water throughout the day. This may sound strange but get yourself a reusable water bottle you really like. This will give you more initiative to drink it as it looks cute.
That’s all for today – I have 2 more posts lined up for you tomorrow but after that I’m done for this year. See you soon,
xo Baby, Tati xoxo
